Le Parkour, The Hottest Sport for Daredevils

Dec. 6, 2010

Le Parkour, the hottest sport for daredevils! You may have noticed Nike Presto’s latest commercials that feature a man jumping from balcony to balcony and wondered what those kooky ad creators were up to. Well, believe it or not, it’s an actual sport called Le Parkour. See the new series of reality TV shows that highlight more than just athletic talent on the field or the court. Jump City: Parkour calls for all “free runners” to converge in Seattle to battle it out on the streets (and buildings and rooftops). If nothing else, it will be cool to watch these “wannabe Ninjas back flip down a flight of stair”. Tune in on the G4 Network.

127 Hours

Nov. 11, 2010

From Academy-Award winning director Danny Boyle, of  “Slumdog Millionaire”, comes an adventure story about survival. Based on a true story, “127 Hours” puts actor James Franco in the shoes of the real life climber, Aaron Ralston. Staying true to the actual story, the movie follows Aaron (James Franco) as he bikes and climbs to complete self freedom in the great outdoors, sounds invigorating right? Well, this movie would not be a movie without a climactic life altering predicament for our main character, Aaron. A stellar movie for those moved by adventure and living on chance. In theaters Friday, Nov. 5th.
